Space preview 2 A tractor preview 13

Welcome to my various virtual worlds

'Games for May' is the banner for my hobby projects, collecting the games and digital things I have made in my spare time. Many of these things are daft, pointless, usually half-baked at best, but over the years have kept me out of the woods for longer than they should have. Some of these projects are collaborations with other folk, those are better than the ones I make on my own.
Mitchell Goodwin, 2023

  • Artillery Poetry, a French Play, The History of Profanity Filtering, etc
Various extremely serious random scribblings and a picture of a monkey carrying a snowball.

  • Imaginary News Network
There are times when I can't bear reading the real news, so I sometimes make stuff up instead. Other people have joined in that process too. It's not fake news, its Imaginary ; It doesn't pretend so it's better for the soul. Sure you can argue its the sort of deliberate disconnection from reality that is exactly what the purveyors of the post-truth dissonance want from the masses. Still funny sometimes though.

  • A list of all the games I've written without being paid to do so
Not including Killer Rabbits, Bongosquares, the official rules to (sorry, I mean "Laws of..") 'Fives', anything between 2013 - 2017, anything i'm currently working on and the 'Name that Judge' game.

    GFM and not tractors Podcast

Me ol' mucker Steve and I occasionally record a podcast, detailing the trials and tribulations of old idiots who've spent ages making a vacant universe but dont really know why.. public preview here.

  • Somerset / A tractor / The Universal

(SATU) The ultimate UGC universe from the early 2000s, now exists in an ironically titled 'Early Access' form on Steam.
The game is mostly a form of strange, quaint online museum (like one of those little ones in provincial towns that has an extensive collection of 1970s pencils) but occasionally receives bouts of updates (as happened at the start of 2023) to try to keep it in some sort of playable form. (Failed for now).
If you're lucky, there might be a few worlds to play on and some empty space to explore, and if you dig deep there's houses and oil drills, castles and hornball, farms and crap explosions. If you're a creative type you can make your own world for others to play on, but that would require Others. On at least one world, Jehovah (he did say Jehovah) offers ridiculously overpriced fuel and there's a pub* and there's monkeys with jetpacks playing the bongos, just like the old days.
    *(Quite broken as usual)

    A new thing I haven't written yet

Sorry, I haven't written this new thing yet.

    Steam Developer Pages

The central place for AT/TU discussion is currently the game's steam community pages.

There are also (not very active) GFM community groups and developer pages on steam.
