[Done]: Higher Girder Export Price?

So we've got the whole steel pipeline working, which is great as we're now one step closer to vehicles.

In terms of progression, the only issue Win and I are facing is that we're running at a loss due to the export price of girder.

I've got some calculations below that cover the whole chain, and assume a minimum wage of 0.22d (we were trying to pay 30d until we figured out we couldn't export). The calculations don't cover the byproducts (wire and sheet metal), as they're not used until the vehicles start getting produces. Note that the steel refinery buys ore at 3d higher than it's sold at the mine, due to the distance between the ore location and town.

The final cost per girder (if the calcs are right!) is 18d and return trips to the port require ~2 fuel. In the wood chain we've tried to allow for 5d profit per item, which provides 1.5s (-2 fuel, around 40d) for traders taking the goods from town to the port.

Ultimately besides our desire to get vehicles producing, there's very little reason for us to move away from wood and into steel as wood is much more profitable.

thanks for running those numbers - saves me some time :)

I've set the girder export price to 26d for now (Which i believe is suitably generous, reflecting the complexity of the pipeline). I've also upped concrete by 1d (to 9d) and set prices for beer (45d) and wine (1s6d). Please let me know if any of those seem out of whack.

(Btw, once we've got the baselines set, the intention is to script the export prices so they vary according to a formula representing amount exported, market fluctuations and related to the wealth of the population.)
