About
Games for May is a company set up by Mitchell Goodwin, a game developer with 20+ years professional development experience, 25+ years unprofessional development experience, 2 years semi-professional gardening and 14 & a half hours beard stroking practice.
Mitchell started making games on the Commodore Vic20 and it has become a lifelong passion as well as a career. Since barely acquiring a computer science degree by messing about making games, lightshows and getting drunk, he has worked at a number of different companies, including a long stint at Sony in London. He has worked on titles released on the first four PlayStations and spends much of his time these days contemplating the economic implications of the continued existence of the Great Descending Bongochimp while deadheading roses.
Mitchell occasionally spends time writing very silly things like the Imaginary News Network, or this old set of pages in which the capital of Peru is mistaken for an animal on Patrick Stewart's head.
For a very long time,
an Old Man, when not pottering about in the garden or going to work,
has been making games in his spare hours.
Sometimes other Old Men join in this process and then we make
things that are a little bit better.
Both The Universal and A tractor are the work of many hands over many years, with particular contributions from Fooli (Sound, Models and Graphics), Device (coding, hosting and production), Hedgehog (Art, Web-dev, design, proper coding, production and project management), Magicfinger (Web-development, community and production) and a huge list of others who have helped out in various ways over the years.
